Painting, Part II

Well, in a state one evening, I produced a painting that was the child of a late night, frustration, and only two colors. Turns out that it was a lot of fun and not too terribly bad.

Of all the hobbies that I have tried (and I've tried a few), painting is near the top on feeling rewarded for your effort. I would suggest that guitar playing takes the cake but painting - especially untrained, abstract, one-shot painting like mine -is a close second.

It's been awhile...

Please do excuse my failure to update this. November, December, and even the beginning of 2009 has been a bit hurried.

As posted below, the sun is beginning the day a bit earlier each day. It is still frosty but when the sun shines, you can feel spring rubbing its hands together, getting ready. And as I've remarked before, if Oxford does anything well, it does spring and summer quite well.

I add this picture as the onset of the warmer month, my tenure at Oxford winding down, and having worked so much over the past 18 months, I kinda feel this way.
